Cover art -- Vengeance of Dragons The cover art for Vengeance of Dragons, the second book of THE SECRET TEXTS trilogy, is also by British artist Fred Gambino.

This is a striking painting -- Kait in it looks more feral to me. The ruins are gorgeous, the sky is breathtaking. I don't know which character the guy in the background is. And I have my serious doubts about those boots.

All in all, though, this is a keeper. My input was limited to the discussion Betsy and I had prior to getting the artist for the first book, when I outlined my ideas for the series as a whole. Didn't get to see this in progress.
